DAY 184 - 6 MONTH MARK

Karson you are so loved. We have missed you so very badly for 6 months. Your sense of humor was always key to our family when we got to serious. We miss the prank phone calls, teasing the BYU fans while parking at the Stadium Chevron, arguing with you over anything and everything. The homeless people miss you taking care of them and wonders what happened to their friend. All the employees at the stations misses you telling them what to do..okay..maybe not so much but they do miss you. All your golf, pool playing, poker and hunting buddies miss you and can't wait for you to be back with them. All your U of U friends mention that the games just aren't the same without you cheering the Utes on to Victory. Your condo is not the same without you taking care of it and neither are the ATM's or DVD businesses that you started up from scratch. We miss your hugs, the " I Love You's" and your sweet tender ways you always showed love. We are ready for you to come back to us so keep on working hard. To all our friends and family.........pray for Karson to get into the U of U rehab so that he can get this show on the road. We go in Wednesday the 22nd to see if he is ready. Love to you ALL.

  2. Karson, it was so good to see you again today after not getting down there for a couple of weeks! I know you are suffering with a sense of anguish over your condition. But Kars there are SOOO many people praying for your recovery, and you are constantly in our thoughts. I know that all things happen for a reason, and you have come so far.

Keep on fighting the good fight to restore health to your body! You are Karson Peterson, and you have the strength within you to overcome all things with God's help!

    With love and prayers,
    Lynette

  3. Susan, I read that you guys are thinking about going forward with the Baclofen pump. I think that would work wonders for karson. I just went through the trial a month ago. I visited karson when I got out of the hospital two weeks ago when I got out of the hospital. I have issues with leg spasms and have been taking baclofen orally for years with little effect. When I went through the trial it was truly amazing. I would never have imagined how effect it was when administered via the pump. I also did a lot of research and talked with quite a few guys who had the pump themselves. The overall consensus was that it was worth doing and the dangers/side effects (infection) were very rare. I visited Karson when I got out of the hospital two weeks ago. It was good to see that he was a lot more lucid. I think the pump will work wonders with his arm spasms. Thank you for keeping this blog. I check it daily and I really appreciate and respect everything you have done. I couldn't think of a better person to have in your corner when facing something like this.

  8. Peterson Family,

I can't believe it's been six months. It's gone by so fast. I remember March 19th, all the girls went to the concert and we called Karson to see if we could go to his condo. We were at his condo with him on the phone! I would have never believed it if someone told me that 12 hours later he would be in a coma.

I check the blog very often and I love reading about the progress.

    Much love,

    Kristen

  9. Dear Karson & Peterson Family: We are anxiously awaiting the news of the U of U appointment. We know how determined Karson is, and how anxious he is to move onto the next phase. Because of your love and devotion for Karson, as well as his desire and motivation, his progress continues to amaze us. Karson, you keep on being strong---and maybe the hardest part---continue to be patient and know that time is on your side. We love you! The Bolda's.
