Sunday - Day Two

Sunday morning he opened his eyes and had a lot of body movement so we all had so much hope. The doctors warned us that it would be one of the worst days because they were going to heat his body back up to 37 degrees celsius . As the day went on things got worse. They placed a feeding tube in his nose which lacerated something in his nose/throat and caused bleeding. Because of his liver failing and not producing an enzyme which clots blood he had blood coming from his nose and mouth. They gave him medicine in order to help clot blood which stopped the bleeding. Next, because of the same blood issue they were worried his brain could have swelled or hemorrhaged. Therefore, they decided to take him to get a CAT scan. This movement from ICU to the CAT scan room was really hard on him but luckily we found out there was no swelling or hemorrhaging. As he got warmer his body stopped moving which was really discouraging. And because his kidneys were not working he started to swell up and look worse and worse. We all left the hospital that day with little hope.
