Saturday - Day One

Saturday morning Karson's girlfriend, Jordan, noticed his breathing was very shallow while he was sleeping. She tried to nudge him and got no response. She then decided to call 911. While the paramedics were on their way she started CPR. They arrived 7 minutes later and continued CPR until they reached LDS Hospital. Once at the hospital they got his heart beating and on a ventilator. We then found out he had suffered from a heart attack, had kidney failure, and had problems with his liver. As the day went on things got worse. We had an EEG (a brain wave tracker) done and he had little to no activity. His eyes were dilating which was the only positive thing. In order to protect and preserve his body they reduced his temperature to 33 degrees celsius and kept it like that for 24 hours.
