DAY 18
Today Karson got a happy haircut. He looks so good and hopefully it will help with him being so hot. The nurses commented on how great Karson's hair is. It was sad to see his long curly locks go but it will grow back. He was introduced to the new staff and we were all really impressed. The physical therapists got him to sit in a chair. He seems really tired cause of all the movement. He is at the Utah Valley Specialty Hospital. The visiting hours are from 9am to 9 pm. He is in room 203 if you would like to visit.

ReplyDeleteHow nice to have a sister who can cut hair! It will be easier to wash and keep it clean now but we'll miss those beautiful Peterson curls - Ben got his cut off yesterday too:) Karson just keeps taking small steps toward being himself again and it sounds like he is well taken care of. I'm so glad he is closer to the family now, and out of the hospital ICU! That's great news! Hope you guys know that you are constantly on our minds and in our prayers! Karson is so lucky to have such a wonderful support system! Karissa, and Kass, know that I'm right here, I would love to watch your kiddos when you go see your brother! You've improved so much Karson, keep it up buddy! Love you and your amazing family so much!

I noticed that beautiful curly hair the other day in the hospital. The short hair will probably be more comfortable. It sounds like you are in good hands with the new staff, Karson. Kars: I came and saw you today and you looked like you wanted so desperately to look out your window. Take my word for it the view is great. It was nice to see you moving your arms, turning your head and looking right at me. I could tell you knew me and wanted to say hello. Keep fighting my friend, we'll have a chat soon enough.

ReplyDeleteWe are so glad to hear that you have moved closer to your parent's home. It sounds like you are improving every day. I am glad that you got your hair cut. Hopefully that will keep you nice and cool. We remember when you were little and slept at our house one night. We were all very comfortable with the temperature but you were sooooo hot. I felt bad because we hadn't turned on our air conditioner yet and you told me that you are always hot. Hopefully your mom has a fan blowing on you. Keep working hard everyday to get better.
