Thursday - Day Six
Last night the nurses gave Karson a bath, washed his hair and shaved his face, so when we walked in he looked sooooo good. The EEG that was done today didn't show any different brain waves than the one that was done on day three. One good thing that we did receive from it, was that he has not seizured. He had another round of dialysis today and did very well. Tomorrow they are going to perform a tracheotomy so the ventilator will not have to go through his mouth and will go through his neck. Also, they are going to move his feeding tube from his mouth to a direct line through his stomach. Both of these procedures will relieve any discomfort that he may have in his mouth. Other than that, there are no other updates. Tomorrow will be a big day for him!!!

ReplyDeleteI check this every day! My whole office (people that have never met Karson!) is praying for him, and they ask me to read the blog updates to them. Karson, you have so many people on your side. It sounds like you have great people taking care of you. Every day will get better and better!

ReplyDeleteI don't know Karson, but by all of the comments posted, I know that he is a fighter and is much loved by ALOT of people. Susan, the gal who said that there is STRENGTH IN NUMBERS is so right and the number of people praying for your family and for Karson is multiplying faster than you even know. ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Karson in way too long but I remember so well the cute little boy I babysat, that called me his girlfriend. He was always WAY more obedient than his two older sisters ;) I have faith that Karson has been and will continue to be strong and do whatever he can to get through this. He is so blessed to have such a wonderful family to be there to surround and support him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all also. Stay strong and have faith.
