DAY 63

So Karson has moved into a new care center. It is right across the street from Utah valley hospital in Provo. The center is called East Lake Care Center and the address is 1001 N 500 W. He is in room 402. Just go around to the back of the building and you will see a small parking lot. That is the easiest and fasted way to his room. The move was very hard on him and he is super frustrated. Fair warning his lip looks really bad cause he bites on it.

  1. Dear Peterson Family: Our constant prayers and love go out to all of you. We know that miracles happen; we pray that Karson will be one of them. Please remember that if there is anything we can do for any one of you, we are here. May you be blessed with continued strength and peace as you remember the happy times with your sweet son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. We will never give up hope. Carrie, David and Bryan.

  2. We are sorry to hear that the move was hard on Karson, but we are glad to hear that he gets to stay close to home. Frustration can be a stepping stone and a sign of a fighter. Keep working hard Karson, you have come a long way. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

  4. Hello Karson, trust that you are getting settled in and comfortable with the new place. Keep thinking good health every day, it takes time to create simular to building a house. It takes many friends, family and working professionals, and it takes place over a longer period than we like, however the home gets built. The world is with you in strength and spirit, draw upon it. Have faith in yourself and the universe that one day, very soon, you will awaken from your sleep. Always remember, We Believe in You.
Many thanks and appreciation for all the people who are helping with Karson's healthy recovery, the medical staff, family and friends. Patience and strength, keep believing in the miricales of life.
    Talk with you soon, Bruce

  5. Thank you all for you continued support and prayers for Karson and our family. The wait for him to progress is very hard at times and we appreciate you all writing encouranging thoughts. I read them to him and I know that he hears all of them. The Provo Rehab and Nursing has turned out to be a really good place and Karson is settling in nicely. He is starting with all his therapy on Monday so I am excited for that. We can bring in outside doctors to look at Karson's brain and we have a few in mind that we want him to see. If any of you know of any specialists that deal in brian injuries, please let us know. Again, thanks for all the love and encouraging messages you all write on the blog. We LOVE you all........Mike and Susan

  6. Karson,
We are happy to hear that you were able to stay in Provo and that the new place is working out good. We know that when you start with the theopy tomorrow, you will make great progress. Grandma use to read a story book to me when I was a little girl. The name of it was "The Little Engine Who Thought He Could". You have probably heard this story about a little train who pulls a heavy load over a high mountain. He just keeps saying to himself, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can". He is able to make it because of his positive attitude. I have often thought of this story whenever I have had a high mountain to climb. I know you "can" make it too, Karson. You have many pulling for you and helping you to get over this "high mountain" in your life. We all believe in you. Keep fighting and work hard on that therapy. We love you.
    Love always,
    Aunt Lana
