Tuesday - Day Four
Today was a positive day. When we first arrived they informed us that his liver counts had reduced by more than half (which is great) and his other organs were stabling out. Around noon they took him to get a MRI so we could check the actual damage to his brain. As we all knew, there was damage to his brain but it is impossible to predict what he will and will not be able to do once he wakes up, because every person is different. Jordan's father is a neurologist and is coming to look at the MRI tomorrow to give us more feedback. His kidneys are still suffering so they started dialysis on him. They started with 2 hours today and will increase the time as the days go on. He started responding to things we ask him to do. When my dad asked him to move his feet he did, which was AMAZING!! Thank you so much for all of your love and support. We love getting on here and reading your comments and I know Karson loves to hear them also. The ICU has started mentioning things about the amount of visitors Karson is getting (it does not surprise us because we all know how many lives Karson has touched) so we thought it would be best if we had visitors come between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. This way the doctors and nurses will have enough space to come in and out and provide Karson with the best care that he needs. ReplyDeleteKarson has been doing so good!!!! I am so excited to see him smile and laugh again. Yassie and I are here with him now and he really seems to be responding to things, it's awesome! My phone is completely full of messages when I get to looking at it at the end of the day and my email is full of well-wishers. It sounds like you are improving, so keep it up. Who knows, you may show up at our doorstep and offer to be our nanny to our 15 kids before you know it. Ha! You are an amazing family and we sure do love each and every one of you. Tell him to hang in there, and you all hang in there to. I know what it is like to have a sick child and there is always light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to stick it out and it will eventually get better. Our hearts are aching, but we have faith that everything will turn out O.K. Karson is one of the nicest and sweetest guys in the world and he has lots of people that love him, but never as much as his Grandma and Grandpa. All of our family is hoping and praying for his fast and full recovery.
